This ice cream was so good! They have traditional flavors and lots of other cool custom specialty flavors as well, with a big menu. The mocha chunk was very good - wish we could buy a gallon to take home! Pretty good value too and even the single size was plenty for one person. Staff wasn't the most friendly too, but it isn't about them, it's about the ice cream!

Made our way to Mystic on our recent East Coast vacation. It was a beautiful warm day so we knew we needed to cool off with some ice cream. This location is right on the edge of the bridge and you have a iview for when it goes up and down. They had so many flavors. I wish I could've tried everything but we settled on two scoops. Service was fast. This is a must when in Mystic.

The line tells the truth! The ice cream is really good and creamy. One scoop is a littleeee expensive at around $6.25, but it is really good and such a cool spot. You can see the water and the sunset :)

So I tried the sweet and salty shoyu ice cream. It's so unique (though I'd best describe it was a burnt caramel although like the top of a crème brûlée. Whatever it was, it was so rich. Other flavors are too much to list. Inside is a bit old fashioned but you come here to stand on line and get something great. We got that and more!

Get a New York Egg Cream here. They're really, really good. I promise, you won't regret it. This place has got good ice cream for sure. I got the Vermont maple walnut and it was fabulous. My husband and I fawned over the egg cream while we sat next to the drawbridge and the river. Even if you don't like ice cream, just order something else off the menu and go sit on their little deck and enjoy yourself for a bit.

Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream is an institution in Mystic. It's a must-visit when going to Mystic. They have a lot of homemade flavors which are super creamy. You can't go wrong with any of them!

This ice cream was absolutely incredible. Very fresh and homemade. The line was out the door!!! That is what caught my interest to try out this ice cream. My partner got the brownie sundae which he loved, & I got the mystic mud ice cream which was delicious. They also offered vegan ice cream options, milkshakes, flurries, smoothies, coffees, cookies & more!!! Lovely place I can't wait to come back

Very tasty! The line was long due to the heat but it moved pretty quickly. I had the mocha dark chocolate chip and lemon sorbet, both of which were delicious. I do appreciate that everything is homemade and they have gluten free options as well. It is a bit pricey, but that's to be expected. There is not a lot of seating but it was great to eat by the water. The place is quite clean though. Would absolutely go back.

Downtown Mystic is filled with many great little shops and excellent restaurants, but Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream is by far one of the most well-known staples! There's a reason they've been in business for over 100 years- the ice cream is absolutely delicious! All of their ice cream is homemade and hand mixed one batch at a time. They use rich cream from a local dairy farm, and only the best, natural ingredients for flavoring. Additionally, their ice cream is super rich and creamy because the percent of overrun (the amount of air added to the ice cream) is lower than mass-produced ice cream. When I went recently, I got the Lemon Chocolate Kiss (lemon custard with dark chocolate shavings) in a waffle cone. It was SO GOOD! Their menu includes all the "classic" flavors, as well as "Drawbridge Originals," which I always think are the best. They also have smoothies, sundaes, shakes, and more! The inside has a good amount of seating, but on a busy weekend night it gets pretty packed. The staff are always friendly. I generally like getting my ice cream and then walking along the drawbridge (right nearby) to enjoy the view. Make sure to stop by this summer!
